A Business Forum for the Health and Beauty Industry
SPATEC is a 3-day forum of face-to-face meetings between UK and European spa owners, directors and senior personnel, with leading spa suppliers from the following categories:
Apparel, Aromatherapy, Beauty Products, Body Toning, Fitness Equipment, Hydrotherapy, Linens/Robes/Towels, Manicure, Marine Therapies, Massage, Retail, Sales and Marketing Services, Single Use Items, Skincare, Software, Spa Equipment, Sun Protection, Steam Baths, Tanning and other new, innovative and relevant suppliers to the Spa and Beauty industry.
SPATEC UK and Europe will bring together over 50 of UK and Europe's most important spa, wellness and beauty operators (buyers) of leading medium-to-large hotel, resort, destination, medical and day spas to meet with 60 key leading domestic and international suppliers to participate in a series of one-to-one meetings over two dedicated business days.
Both buyers and suppliers choose who they would like to meet and are each given a personal schedule of 20 minute meetings. Each meeting takes place at the buyer's dedicated meeting table. These pre-arranged face-to-face meetings allow delegates to talk business and network in a way that is simply not possible with trade shows and conferences.
The vibrancy, debate and volume of market intelligence generated and gained from a gathering of top operators and key suppliers can never be underestimated. In an environment focused upon business with a selected gathering of key level executives SPATEC creates a truly unique experience.
Each day will commence with a key-note presentation from respected, informed and motivational speakers from within the sector and from other business disciplines. The speakers create a perfect start for the day's activities, stimulating debate that will continue throughout the programme and beyond the event.
The Leisure Database Company in partnership with SPATEC will bring to the delegates the first ever State of the UK Spa Sector report, detailing the size, scope and scale of the industry. This ground breaking research will be revealed each year at the SPATEC event. The true extent of the UK Spa industry is unknown and this definitive report will set the benchmark for year on year analysis of this evolving market. We will be delighted to provide each attendee with a complimentary executive summary of this report.
The concept of SPATEC was created by McLean Events in 1996. McLean's formula provides for a series of highly focused industry forums for senior executives and leading suppliers from specific markets. Meeting in 5-star facilities, away from the distractions of the office and day to day operations, make these forums uniquely different. They are now regarded as the premier industry events within their respective markets.
McLean Events International organises meeting forums worldwide across five industry sectors:
Health & Fitness, Hotel Management, Shipping, Conference & Incentive, Spa & Beauty.
Delegates at SPATEC 2007 at the end of last month, agreed that the inaugural event kicked off with a stimulating first session, as Dr Tim Anstiss’ lively presentation examined the role of spa in helping people achieve sustainable wellbeing into the future. His thought provoking presentation provided the perfect start for a very busy two days which saw over 1000 quality meetings between key spa industry buyers and suppliers. In fact, the first SPATEC event proved so successful that a record breaking 75% of the suppliers have already booked their place for SPATEC 2008.
