Prior to the event, the HOTEC ME directory, containing a profile of all attending buyer and supplier delegate companies, is made available to all delegates. Each delegate is asked to select and prioritise the companies they wish to meet. A personalised meeting schedule is then created for each delegate just before the event. Final amendments can then be made to ensure your time at HOTEC is spent as effectively as possible. The final meeting schedule is ready for collection upon arrival on the first day of the forum.
A total of twenty two, 20-minute meetings are scheduled on the two main days of the event with a five minute break separating each meeting. Supplier delegates are guaranteed at least 12 meetings for companies attending with 1 delegate and 18 meetings for companies attending with 2 delegates. The buyer delegate is allocated one meeting point where all appointments with supplier delegates are held over the two days.
The Seminar Programme offers delegates the chance to listen to industry experts, learn valuable industry updates and participate in open-forum discussion. With a mixture of presentations and panel discussions delivered by leaders in the hospitality industry, the meticulously prepared and researched programme allows delegates to gain valuable insights into current issues affecting the hotel industry in the Middle Eastern region. In particular, the panel discussion format encourages delegates to challenge, question and enquire into the expert opinions presented.
McLean Events hosts a Welcome dinner on the first night, a cocktail reception on the second, and a farewell dinner on the final evening. These are private functions that all delegates attend providing convivial settings in which you can mingle and chat freely with your fellow delegates. It's an unrivalled opportunity to share views, discuss issues and above all, really get to know your peers.
In addition to further chances of conversation over coffee or at lunch, there is also a programme of activities, organised after the business meetings, which give delegates the option to relax and network in an even more informal way.
A one and a half hour supplier showcase will take place on the second day of the event in a separate room where each supplier has their own dedicated space. This gives buyers further opportunity to browse products and converse with suppliers. Both buyers and suppliers can also meet delegates they may not have had pre-booked on their meeting schedules.

"HOTEC Middle East 2009 was super - the personal arrangement of all my participation requirements was great. I strongly believe that HOTEC Middle East is a great opportunity for regional industry executives to learn and be aware of the updates on supply markets and it is also an effective source of communication among my hotel industry peers. "Mahmoud El Maghraby, Vice President, Finance - Egypt & Middle East, Sonesta Collection - Hotels, Resorts & Cruises
