HOTEC Asia Format Change

After a successful trial at HOTEC North America, Mclean Events have just announced that they will be updating the meetings format for this year’s HOTEC Asia. Suppliers will now have a dedicated meeting point - a table on which they can display their product samples and catalogues - which remains theirs for the duration of the event. Buyer delegates will move from table to table, as per their meeting schedule. As always, meeting tables will be laid out in a grid in the ballroom, so it will be very easy to move between them. After receiving positive feedback from the change to HOTEC North America, we are hoping this will enhance the one-to-one meetings experience at HOTEC Asia 2010.

• Keynote Speaker Announced

  We have secured our keynote speaker... Wang Shu, Assistant Director of Horwarth HTL. Wang Shu’s area of expertise is in the Chinese hotel market, part of the region’s largest growth area. Wang Shu is based in Horwath’s Beijing office and has worked on over 60 hotel studies in his career, including hotel market research, feasibility studies, hotel renovation strategy analysis and due diligence studies in various cities of mainland China. With abundant knowledge of the hotel market in China, Wang Shu will be delivering a presentation that broadly looks at hotel development in the Asia Pacific region, but will then focus on the market expansion within China. His presentation will be of interest to all those in the Asian hotel industry, as China’s progression is affecting the whole region through its diverse design requirements, construction methods and approach to the supply chain. After the presentation, Wang Shu will be holding a question/answer session, answering all relevant questions, sharing his knowledge and experiences with all delegates.
