CONFEC green is specifically for the important UK and Ireland MICE industry. There is a focus on what is new in the marketplace across England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the Channel Islands.

Andaz Liverpool Street London hotel is the first of Hyatt's new Andaz brand which means 'personal style' in Hindi. It is located in the heart of the city of London and on the fringes of East London. Formerly one of the original London railway hotels which opened as the Great Eastern Hotel, it is housed in a beautiful redbrick Victorian building dating back to 1884, but once inside it is the 21st century with 267 beautifully appointed modern guest rooms designed to create the ultimate hotel experience. The numerous meeting rooms offer flexibility up catering for up to 250 theatre style and 400 banqueting.

This is the sixth annual CONFEC green. This leading meeting forum is highly time efficient - one and a half days of meetings including a fabulous networking event. The format is highly acclaimed by both buyers and suppliers combining the back to back 20 min preselected meetings programme with high level networking functions in an extremely focused and time efficient two days.

Leading agencies and corporate meeting and incentive planners come for a programme of one-on-one prearranged meetings with hotel chains, individual and unique venues, tourist boards, convention bureaus and selected services. As ever there is a strong focus on what is new across the regions.

Hosted Buyers

The Hosted Buyers at CONFEC green are selected from the leading agencies, corporate meeting planners and booking agents who are based in the UK and Ireland. Delegates are directors and senior account managers and executives who have specific responsibility for placing substantial business throughout the regions. Hosted Buyer places are by invitation only. The careful qualification process ensures that the event is highly time efficient and productive for all delegates.

Supplier Delegates

CONFEC green supplier delegates are from UK and Ireland only and by application. Places may be limited per region. The event includes a focus on recently launched or planned venues throughout England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and the Channel Islands. There will also be a highlight on recently refurbished venues and those with new or unique facilities.

Format

There are 40 - 50 top quality hosted buyers places and around 50 - 60 supplier delegate places. As with all CONFEC events, the number of places will be strictly controlled in order to maximize networking opportunities and to ensure that the unique relationship building atmosphere of CONFEC is retained. CONFEC green will include a networking programme of joint lunches, networking breaks and dinner ensuring that the event is extremely time efficient and highly enjoyable - just how good business should be.

Established Reputation

CONFEC forums are established as the most effective MICE industry forums in Europe.

For the mainland European suppliers markets, CONFEC red in February 2011 is now in its eleventh year, bringing together UK buyers and suppliers from 26 European countries. The fifth CONFEC blue will take place in June 2011 and is designed for mainland European buyers and European suppliers.

Top buyers invest their time to meet senior people from hotel chains, individual and unusual venues, convention bureaux and related services. The quality and number of top buyers attending, combined with the high level meeting and networking programmes, means that the European versions have waiting lists each year.
